“But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” 2 Corinthians 12:9-10 ESV
We often count on our strengths to accomplish the work God has called us to, but the bible makes it clear that God’s power is displayed in our weakness.
The temptation is to trust in our own strengths but the best work happens when we are weak and vulnerable. This is why the bible puts value on meekness, humility and lowliness.
When we trust in what we can accomplish we are making a platform for ourselves, but when we seek to work from a place of weakness you are making a platform for the Holy Spirit to move.
Now when I say weakness, I’m not saying from a place of sin or ignorance but rather a place of being full aware of your inability.
If you are desiring to see more of the Spirit at work around you, seek to be meek, humble and lowly.
